Despite facing many setbacks, failures, and challenges, his journey teaches us the importance of working hard, never giving up, and always being open to learning.
Hemi’s competitive spirit, coupled with his unwavering commitment to uplifting others, represents the true essence of sportsmanship and community building. He has made a significant impact on the community through his volunteer work and coaching at the Nashville Chess Center, and his middle and high schools. His ability to inspire and motivate all ages and levels of chess players, even before high school, showcases his exceptional leadership and mentorship.
As a trendsetter and history-maker for Nashville and Tennessee Chess, Hemi accomplished all possible Youth chess titles and awards in Tennessee and raised the bar very high for Tennessee Chess, inspiring players of all levels to challenge themselves to push beyond their limits and pursue their passions.
